We are able to offer each of our services individually, or as a part of an overall promotional package. Please get in touch for more details.

Who we are

Nick Fleming

There are not many people in the music industry who can claim a link between Thin Lizzy and Britney Spears – unless, of course, it’s Nick Fleming who broke both of their debut singles at radio.

Nick’s first hit as an independent plugger was in 1985 with Amii Stewart‘s, “Knock on Wood”.
In his first year he achieved the rare distinction of plugging the top 2 singles in the chart in the shape of Boris Gardner‘s, “I Want To Wake Up With You” and Sinnita‘s, “So Macho”.

In 1988, Nick formed ‘Fleming and Smallman’ with Oliver Smallman. The partnership was responsible for hits such as Yazz, “The Only Way Is Up”, and Lisa Stansfield‘s “All Around The World”.

Nick later formed ‘Fleming Associates’, where his winning streak continued. Tracks including “Boom! Shake the Room” and “Summertime” by Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince kept Fleming Associates ahead of the game. Hits from Britney Spears,  Steps, Jools Holland, Katie Melua, Stone Roses, LeAnn Rhymes, Keith Urban, Peter Andre, N*Sync, R Kelly and The Backstreet Boys followed.

Whitney Ribbins

is the other key member of the team here at Instinctive PR. With over twelve years experience in the music industry from road crew, tour managing to event planning, she managed TotalRock Radio and is a presenter and model.

Music is her first love and she has had the privilege of working alongside some of her favourite artists including Pink Floyd, Tony Iommi, Status Quo, Judas Priest and Thunder. She has also been involved with festivals such as Wacken Open Air & Monsterfest.

Whitney is also a charity warrior and is, proudly, one of the key members of the social project, The Secret Sari Dress Campaign, which aims to prevent human trafficking through the power of production. Find out more at http://www.secretprojects.org

How we work

you send us your music and we hand deliver it to radio

OK, so it’s a bit more involved than that.

Essentially it is our previously established relationships within the UK Media that we enjoy, and that we have been honing for decades, which enables us to get your music heard.

National Radio stations such as BBC Radio and the commercial sector radio groups, including Global & Bauer Media know us well and it is these relationships which allow the music of our clients to be widely distributed throughout the industry. Our aim at Instinctive PR is to give the artists the best promotion possible, which includes playlist commitments, interviews and sessions on the appropriate stations, along with ongoing consultation as to the best ways of maximising exposure.
